Auto driver found murdered in Ambattur

A 31-year-old autorickshaw driver was found murdered at his residence in Kalyanapuram, Ambattur, on Saturday night. The deceased was identified as M. Sridar, 31, who was allegedly attacked on the neck with a knife and died on the spot, police said. The Ambattur Police recovered the body and sent it to the Kilpauk Government Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. An FIR was registered following a complaint from neighbours. Further investigation is under way.
