Awareness programme on gender equality, sexual harassment of women in workplaces

An awareness programme on ‘Gender equality, women empowerment and sexual harassment of women in workplaces’ was held here on Saturday.

Addressing the gathering, Justice Mr. Jothiraman appealed to the women to be aware of the legal provisions protecting them from gender inequality and harassment in workplaces and fight against such injustice.

District Collector A. K. Kamal Kishore, Principal District Judge B. Rajavel, Chief Judicial Magistrate Christal Babitha and others spoke.

Experts spoke on domestic harassment, sexual harassment in workplaces and the legal remedies available.
