The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), in association with the District Industries Centre (DIC), has organised a one-day awareness workshop for export promotion and facilitation at the Institution of Engineers on Jhansi Lakshmi Bai Road in Mysuru on December 2.

A press statement issued by Mysore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) on December 1 said that the State government has entrusted FIEO with organising export promotion programmes in the districts under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme.

The RAMP scheme enhances the performance of MSMEs by promoting technology upgradation, innovation, digitisation, market access, credit, greening initiatives, and so on through active participation of the State governments.

The participants of the workshop, which is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on December 2, will include exporters, manufacturers, farmer producers’ organisations, farmers, growers, planters, and artisans.

Speakers from the office of the Additional Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Bengaluru, Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India, Bengaluru Custom House Agents Association Ltd., and FIEO will give presentations and interact with participants, said the press statement.

“The event will inform and discuss specifically on how to enter the export business, various policies, benefits under DGFT, export documentation, logistics, and credit risk management,” it added.

Though there is no registration fee, interested persons are requested to register their names by email on mccimysore@gmail.com or by calling 9606850246.
