Andhra Pradesh State Commission for Scheduled Castes chairman K.S. Jawahar on Monday (November 24, 2025) assured justice to the victims of a recent attack reportedly carried out by upper-caste persons in Bandlamudi village, Chimakurthi mandal of Prakasam district.

Speaking to the victims here on Monday, he said that a report will be submitted to the State government. He demanded that the government offer a job, an acre land and compensation for the Dalit family, who were reportedly attacked by the upper-caste persons.

The SC Commission chairman said that three members of the victim’s family will be granted plots and houses will be constructed. He ordered the police officers to withdraw the counter cases filed against the victims. He told the officers to take steps without caste discrimination in the village.

District Social Welfare Officer Lakshmana Nayak, Ongole Revenue Divisional Officer Lakshmi Prasanna, Chimakurthi Tahsildar Brahmayya, and local leaders were also present.
