Bank of Baroda posts ₹4,809 cr. net profit in Q2

Bank of Baroda, a Government of India undertaking, has reported posting ₹4,809 crore net profit for the second quarter ending September 2025, as against ₹5,238 crore posted during the corresponding period the previous year.

A release here attributed over 8% decrease in the net profit to medium rates of interest income. The total income of the bank too witnessed reduction, from ₹35,445 crore in Q2 of 2024-25 to ₹35,026 crore, the release said. The income from interests of the bank has improved a bit, from ₹30,278 crore in the previous fiscal to ₹31,511 crore in the current Q2. The net interest income too has improved from ₹11,637 crore to ₹11.954 crore.

The bank said its gross NPA improved to 2.16% in the current Q2 from 2.5% while the net NPA reached 0.57% from 0.6%.
