Bharathidasan University’s Directorate of Research, Internal Quality Assurance Cell and University Grants Commission-Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre are set to host a capacity building programme for higher education teachers on proposal preparation for research grants, patents and high-impact publications on November 17.
According to a press release, the programme will be held under the aegis of BECH – RUSA 2.0 at the BDU campus, as per the direction of the State Department of Higher Education, and is to be inaugurated online by P. Sankar, Secretary to Government, State Department of Higher Education. Commissioner of Collegiate Education E. Sundravalli is likely to participate in the inaugural ceremony in person.
The capacity building programme will feature sessions on research proposal writing, funding agencies / schemes, research ethics, academic integrity and plagiarism, and high-Impact publications by accomplished scientists and academics with proven track record of funded research projects and publications, to strengthen the competence of the participants, said the release.
Being panned in dual mode, the porgramme will accommodate 300 participants in face-to-face mode and up to 500 in online mode. More details about the admission process may be had from the university’s official website.
