Bengaluru City University (BCU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ramesh B announced plans to promote the study of Buddhist philosophical ideas at the university. He made the announcement on October 29 while speaking at the release of Pali-Kannada dictionary (Volume IV), jointly organized by the Kalaburagi Pali Institute and the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Study Centre. 

Professor Ramesh highlighted Pali’s significance in India’s knowledge tradition and recalled the Dalai Lama’s lecture on “Peace and Prosperity” at Tumkur University.

Former NAAC Director Dr. S.C. Sharma released the volume, emphasizing Pali’s cultural influence.

Scholars including Prof. M.G. Venkatesh and Dr. C. Chandramohan discussed Pali’s linguistic and literary value. 

The event was attended by academicians and officials.
