Bengaluru tops medal tally as Mini Karnataka Games 2025 conclude

Curtains came down on the 4th Mini Karnataka Games 2025 with Bengaluru emerging as the undisputed champion, clinching a total of 404 medals including 135 gold, 128 silver and 141 bronze. Belagavi followed with 100 medals while Mysuru secured third place with 57 medals.

Best Athlete (Female) was bagged by Poorvi T. Harikantra from Uttara Kannada with 822 points, while Prakul R. Kundar from Udupi clinched the Best Athlete (Male) award with 783 points. In total, athletes across the State won 1,005 medals, marking record participation from female athletes and districts beyond Bengaluru.

The week-long event, featuring 27 sporting disciplines, also introduced golf and equestrian events for the first time.

At the closing ceremony, Home Minister G. Parameshwara lauded the success of the games and announced that the next edition will be held in Tumakuru from January 16 to 22, 2026, highlighting the city’s new ₹58-crore stadium and world-class facilities.
