Minister for Industries and Commerce T.G. Bharath on Tuesday (November 25, 2025) urged Union Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw to extend all possible cooperation to the State in regard to railway projects.
Mr. Bharath called on the Union Minister in Delhi and urged the latter to take up railway sliding at Orvakal and Sri City to help boost industrial development in the State. Bharath maintained that the Union Minister responded positively to his request.
Mr. Bharath also requested Mr. Vaishnaw to introduce a new train between Kurnool and Vijayawada that would benefit students, businessmen, and those who commute between the two cities daily. Mr. Bharath informed the Union Minister that the people of Kurnool were eagerly waiting for this new train. The Minister said that Mr. Ashwini Vaishnaw responded positively and assured to look into the issue.
