Industries and Food Processing Minister T.G. Bharath on Wednesday met Union Food Processing Minister Chirag Paswan and urged the Centre to fast-track pending proposals aimed at boosting the State’s agro-processing sector.

According to a press release, Mr. Bharath sought the immediate release of funds for the Integrated Tomato Value Chain Project and support for FPOs across the State. He also requested approvals for the remaining incubation centres at Tirupati, Bapatla, Lam and Pulivendula under the PM-FME scheme to strengthen startups and micro-entrepreneurs.

He said the State government, under Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, was focused on reducing post-harvest losses and expanding rural livelihoods. Mr. Paswan is learnt to have responded positively to the requests.
