BJP MLA wants Satish Jarkiholi to be made CM

BJP MLA from Raibag Duryodhan Aihole has said that said that Congress leader Satish Jarkiholi, a Dalit leader, should become Chief Minister of the State.

Speaking to presspersons at Suvarna Soudha in in Belagavi on Saturday, Mr. Aihole said that as no Dalit leader from BJP became the Chief Minister, his wish was that at least in Congress rule, a Dalit leader became the Chief Minister. “We will be happy if Dalit leader Satish Jarkiholi, who is from our district becomes Chief Minister”, he said.

He said that before the winter session began in Belagavi, the fight for chair should get over and the session should throw light on the problems of North Karnataka and make efforts to resolve them.

Mr. Aihole claimed that it was only from Public Works Department, held by Mr. Satish Jarkiholi, that BJP and JD(S) MLAs had received funds from development.
