The BJP has appealed to voters in Jubilee Hills to support party candidate Deepak Reddy in the upcoming byelection, citing “severe civic neglect and unfulfilled promises by both BRS and Congress governments”.
“Residents in the area continue to suffer from overflowing drains, poor roads, lack of pensions, inadequate housing, and insufficient access to clean drinking water — issues that have remained unaddressed for years. Many senior citizens above the age of 65 have also complained about not receiving their rightful pensions,” alleged Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajender.
Participating in a campaign on Tuesday night, he said, “The BRS once promised everything and delivered nothing. Now, Congress is repeating the same deception with its unfulfilled ‘Six Guarantees’.”
The MP further alleged that Congress ministers are disorganised and more focused on personal gain than public welfare. “Real change in Jubilee Hills will come only when both BRS and Congress are defeated. Wherever we go, people express their trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and believe that only he can ensure the nation’s progress,” he added.
Crucial meeting
Meanwhile, State BJP president N. Ramchander Rao presided over a key meeting of party office bearers at the party office. He called for an intensified door-to-door campaign to highlight the welfare schemes and development initiatives undertaken by the Modi government. He urged party leaders to expose the “corruption and misgovernance” of the previous BRS regime, as well as the unfulfilled promises of the current Congress government.
Mr. Rao also called on party cadre to actively participate in relief and assistance efforts for those affected by Cyclone Montha. “In this hour of distress, our foremost duty is to coordinate with local authorities and ensure immediate help reaches the poor, farmers, and daily-wage earners, whose livelihoods have been severely impacted. This includes providing food, shelter, medical aid, and essential supplies,” he said.
