Condemning the recent gang rape of a woman in Coimbatore, the BJP’s women’s wing staged demonstration here on Thursday.
Clad in black attire, Former Mayor of Tirunelveli Corporation Bhuvaneswari participated in the demonstration with trident and with her hands chained.
Nagercoil MLA M.R. Gandhi participated in the agitation.
Similar protests were held in Tenkasi, Thoothukudi and Kanniyakumari districts also.
