A conductor of Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) and a marshal working with Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Ltd. (BSWML) were among those who got eligibility in the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET-2025) for the post of assistant professor.
Jayamma, the BMTC conductor, and K.B. Aravind, a marshal with the BSWML, cleared the KSET in Kannada, and the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) distributed the certificate on Saturday.
Mr. Aravind hails from Huliyurdurga of Tumakuru district, while Ms. Jayamma is from Bengaluru.
Ms. Jayamma said, “I got a conductor job from the exam conducted by KEA earlier, and now I have cleared KSET. It is all because of the transparency maintained by KEA in conducting exams. Hope I will soon be appointed as assistant professor”.
Sharing his experience, Mr. Aravind said. “As I completed postgraduation in Kannada, I started preparing for KSET while working as a marshal. It is my dream to become a college professor”.
KEA conducted the KSET-2025 written test on November 2 this year and announced the results on November 15. It also started the process of verifying the documents and issuing certificates from Saturday.
