Border crime and coordination meeting between Karnataka and Kerala police officers was held in Mangaluru on Saturday, in light of the two-phase local body elections in Kerala.
The meeting was chaired by Mangaluru Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy. Kannur Range Deputy Inspector-General of Police Yatish Chandra G.H., Kasaragod Superintendent of Police Vijay Bharath Reddy, and Dakshina Kannada Additional Superintendent of Police Anilkumar S. Bhoomraddi took part in the meeting.
Apart from exchanging information on crimes, including those related to drug peddling, in the border areas, the officers discussed about absconding accused persons hiding in either State. The officers also discussed about persons against whom non-bailable warrants have been issued and the ways to trace them. Officers also interacted about coordination for crime prevention and detection, Mr. Sudheer Kumar Reddy said in a press release.
