YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) MLC Botcha Satyanarayana has accused the NDA government for their inefficiency in handling calamities. He alleged that the government failed to visit the affected areas or assess the extent of damage caused by the recent cyclone Montha, which severely impacted farmers. He also questioned as to why the government had not announced a single rupee as compensation to farmers, who lost their crops.

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, Mr. Botcha said that farmers from the State have been left in distress as crop losses mount. “The government has totally failed in handling the relief for cyclone-affected farmers and enumeration was not taken up properly. It was former chief minister. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy who visited the affected areas to express solidarity with the farmers,” the YSRCP leader said.
