BSNL invites EOI from eligible firms to sell SIM cards and allied services

The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Tamil Nadu Telecom Circle, has invited Expressions of Interest (EOI) to sell SIMs, recharges, and allied mobile services through retailers in Namakkal South and Harur.

Ravindra Prasad, general manager of Salem BSNL, said the focus is on ensuring that essential mobile services such as SIM activation, recharge facilities, and customer support are readily available to the public through a wider, more efficient retail network. Distributors and dealers in telecom, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), electronics, electrical, and similar such consumer products, having an established retail chain network with a minimum of two continuous years of experience during the last four years and with a minimum annual turnover of ₹30 lakh in the financial year 2024–25, are eligible to bid for the Namakkal South and Harur territories. Firms with rich experience in telecom services of BSNL and meeting the eligibility criteria as per the EOI document will be given priority, Mr. Ravindra added.
