Representatives from more than 50 MSMEs participated in a capacity building programme on ‘Pneumatics for Plastic Sector,’ organised jointly by the Puducherry Industrial Promotion Development and Investment Corporation Limited (PIPDIC) and Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) at the District Industries Centre.
The programme organised under the World Bank-assisted Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme was aimed to strengthen the MSME ecosystem through targeted interventions, technology adoption, skill development and process improvement. The programme focused on enhancing technical knowledge in pneumatics, a crucial component in modern plastic manufacturing, an official release here said.
Participating in the programme, Secretary to Government, Industries, Vikranth Raja said the government was ready to organise more capacity building programmes based on the requirements of MSMEs. Such programmes would help in the overall industrial development and promotion of Puducherry, he said.
