Car hits bike in Shahbad Dairy; two die

Two persons died after a car hit their bike in Shahbad Dairy, north Delhi, a police officer said on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Ansh, 18, a resident of Rohini, and Yashodan, 18, from Shahbad Dairy, and were students.

The accident occurred on Friday night. The car, with six occupants, was coming from Bawana.

The officer said that after receiving the information, a police team rushed to the spot and found Ansh, Yashodan and Akash, 22, the car driver, injured, and they were admitted to a hospital.

While Ansh died during the treatment on Friday, Yashodan succumbed to the injuries on Saturday. Mr. Akash is undergoing treatment.

The bike-borne passengers and the car occupants were on their way to attend weddings.

The police have registered a case under sections 281(1) (rash or negligent driving) and 106(1) (death by rash or negligent acts) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and initiated a probe.
