The Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Saturday (December 6, 2025) carried out extensive searches at the residence of Hanamkonda Additional Collector (Revenue) A. Venkat Reddy, a day after he was arrested while accepting a bribe of ₹60,000.
The early morning operation continued for several hours and resulted in the seizure of over ₹30.3 lakh in cash from the official’s home. Officers also recovered a substantial number of land-related documents and access to multiple lockers, which are now under scrutiny.
Investigators said the searches were part of the follow-up procedure after the bribe trap laid on Friday. The discovery of cash bundles and property papers has widened the scope of the inquiry, with officials examining whether the assets are disproportionate to the officer’s known sources of income. Further investigation is underway.
