As Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming every industry, the challenge of AI and emerging technology go beyond technical, medical, and management expertise, said Bikram Singh Bedi, vice-president, Asia Pacific Strategic Initiatives, Google Cloud, in Manipal on Saturday.

Speaking on the second day of Manipal Academy of Higher Education’s (MAHE) 33rd convocation, Mr. Bedi urged graduates to build and use technology in a responsible way. “Don’t just ask ‘Can we build this or can be use it’, but also ask ‘Should we build this or should we use this”. The graduates should use their skills not just for personal success but for progress of the society.

Reflecting on his three decades of experience across technology, start-ups, and leadership, Mr. Bedi said a career was filled with challenges, changes, and opportunities to reinvent oneself. In this age of constant technological transformation, the key to successful career will be the ability to continuously reinvent oneself, he said.
