Chandigarh Chief Secretary to be felicitated in Udupi

A felicitation committee will felicitate H. Rajesh Prasad, a 1995 batch Indian Administrative Service officer of AGMUT cadre, on being appointed as the Cheif Secretary of Chandigarh Union Territory on November 15 in Udupi.

Felicitation committee president Kuyilady Suresh Nayak stated that Mr. Prasad pursued his primary education in Bommarabettu, Hiriyadka and high school in Hiriyadka High School. He pursued B.Com from MGM College, Udupi. He had his law degree from Delhi University. He did MBA from IGNOU and Master of Public Management from Pondicherry University.

Then he passed the UPSC exam in 1995 and became an IAS officer of the Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram, and Union Territories (AGMUT) cadre. He has also served in Goa, Arunachal Pradesh, and Delhi.

Before his Chandigarh posting, Mr. Prasad was the Principal Secretary to Jammu and Kashmir Government (Power Department).

Manipal Academy of Higher Education Pro-Chancellor H.S. Balla will felicitate the officer at 4 p.m. at the Muddana Mantapa, MGM College in the presence of College Management trustee and Manipal Media Network Ltd., Managing Director T. Sathish U. Pai, Mr. Nayak said.
