Chennai: Youth arrested for robbing food delivery executive at Pulianthope

Police arrested a teenager who threatened and robbed a food delivery worker at Pulianthope in Chennai.

M. Murugan (30), a resident of Maatu Mandhai, Thiruvottiyur, works for a private food delivery company. In the early hours on November 7, 2025, he was riding his two-wheeler near Bhavani Amman Temple, Kannigapuram after completing a delivery, when an unidentified person stopped his vehicle and demanded money. When Murugan refused, the man snatched ₹1,200 from his shirt pocket and fled the scene.

Based on Murugan’s complaint, the Pulianthope Police registered a case and began an investigation. Police arrested the suspect, Prakash (18), of New T.V.K. Nagar, Kannigapuram and recovered ₹1,000 from him.
