Chief Minister to release book on Kerala Lok Ayukta

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will release a book on ‘Kerala Lok Ayukta Act and Rules’ at the Durbar Hall, Government Secretariat on November 11.

G. Sasidharan, Chairperson, Kerala State Commission for Backward Classes, and former Upa Lok Ayukta, Kerala, will accept the first copy of the book.

Kerala Lok Ayukta N. Anil Kumar will preside over the function. Upa Lok Ayuktas Shircy V. and Ashok Menon, Special Attorney for the Kerala Lok Ayukta and Director General of Prosecutions T.A. Shaji, Thiruvananthapuram Bar Association president Pallichal S.K. Pramod and Kerala Lok Ayukta Registrar E. Baiju will also speak on the occasion.

The book is a compilation of the amended Kerala Lok Ayukta Act and Rules, case laws, frequently asked questions, model complaints in English and Malayalam, relevant notifications and prescribed forms under the Act and Rules. The publication is aimed at enhancing public awareness and facilitating better understanding of the powers, functions and procedures of the Kerala Lok Ayukta. It will also help and guide the common man to approach Kerala Lok Ayukta for filing complaints, a press note stated.
