CII Partnership Summit may attract investments of ₹9.8 lakh crore to A.P., says Minister

Social Welfare Minister and in-charge Minister for Visakhapatnam district, Dola Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy, has said that the CII Partnership Summit, scheduled for November 14 and 15, is likely to attract investments worth ₹9.8 lakh crore to Andhra Pradesh, creating employment opportunities for nearly 7.5 lakh people.

Mr. Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy, accompanied by Mayor Peela Srinivasa Rao, MLAs Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu, P. Vishnu Kumar Raju, Ch. Vamsikrishna and Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad, reviewed the arrangements being made for the CII Partnership Summit at the main venue – Andhra University Engineering College Grounds, on Wednesday. He said that representatives and delegates from more than 40 countries, along with hundreds of delegates, are expected to attend the mega event.

The Collector said that about 410 MoUs were likely to be signed during the summit and foundation stones may be laid for projects worth ₹2.7 lakh crore.

Reiterating that the State government is committed to providing 20 lakh jobs in five years, he said processes have already been completed to employ 10 lakh youth.

The government is taking steps to make Visakhapatnam a full-fledged economic hub, the Minister added.
