Class X student ends life due to ‘academic pressure’ in Tuni

A class X student of a private school in Tuni, reportedly died by suicide in his hostel room on the school campus. The incident occurred on Monday while his roommates were away attending a reading session. 

According to Tuni Circle Inspector S. Ramakrishna, the boy may have taken the extreme step due to ‘academic pressure.’ Mr. Ramakrishna said: “The class X student of the private school at Tuni, after having dinner along with his fellow students reportedly ended his life due to ‘academic pressure’.”

The deceased is a native of Seetayyapeta village near Tuni town. “A case of ‘’suicide’’ has been registered based on a complaint by the boys parents. The role of the school management is being investigated”, said Mr. Ramakrishna. 

A post-mortem was done at the Tuni government hospital on Tuesday.
