The National Zoological Park in Delhi is scheduled to reopen on Saturday after being closed for over two months due to avian influenza.
The zoo administration on Friday said that it had followed all prescribed biosafety and surveillance guidelines after detecting a positive case of avian influenza virus in a waterbird aviary on August 28. The zoo closed to visitors on August 30.
“Now, after getting approval from the competent authority, the zoological park will reopen for visitors from November 8,” said an official statement.
All safety and preventive measures will be followed, the statement added.
