Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed senior officials to complete preparation of designs pertaining to the Telangana Rising global summit before this month-end.
Special care should be taken in setting up stalls to display the progress achieved and the future roadmap pertaining to key sectors like infrastructure, industry, welfare and health. The Chief Minister gave the directions to officials on Wednesday, the second day of the series of review meetings being conducted ahead of the prestigious event.
He wanted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other Union Ministers to be invited to the inaugural ceremony of the celebrations, including the global summit planned to showcase the opportunities in Telangana. The celebrations are being organised to mark the completion of two years in office by the Congress government.
Officials were instructed to prepare in advance list of businessmen and industrialists who would be invited to the summit. Arrangements should be made to ensure that the invitees as well as participants were not put to any inconvenience.
The Chief Minister favoured a planned approach in respect of the agreements pertaining to investments by major firms that were expected to be signed during the two-day event. Officials informed the Chief Minister that invitations were already sent to over 2,600 people to attend the global summit.
They explained about the designs that would be adopted for different stalls that were proposed to be set up during the event. Mr. Revanth Reddy wanted them to prepare plans in advance for arranging speeches by experts in different fields along with time slots that would be allotted to each of them.
He directed them to depute senior IAS officers event-wise to supervise the arrangements and ensure successful conduct of the events planned. In addition, steps should be taken to conduct drone shows and cultural programmes to further enhance the image of Brand Telangana.
