The Christian Medical College (CMC) on Saturday organised a torch rally by volunteers, including hospital staff and students, in Vellore to mark 125 years of its compassionate service to the nation.
According to a press release, a team of 125 volunteers took part in the rally through Vellore town. The torch was lit by Annie Kamala Florence, principal, Voorhees College. Vikram Mathews, director, CMC, received the torch from the final runners, and lit the cauldron in the presence of Ebby George Simon, associate director, CMC, and I. Rajesh, medical superintendent, CMC, the release said.
