The Salem District Collector R. Brindha Devi inspected the distribution of enumeration forms to voters here on Wednesday (November 12, 2025). The Namakkal District Collector Durgamoorthi reported that 85.78% of voters in the district have received the forms.

On Wednesday, the Salem Collector/District Election Officer inspected the distribution of enumeration forms under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) to voters at Ayothiyapattinam and Belur in the Yercaud Assembly constituency and First Agraharam in the Salem North Assembly constituency.

Speaking to reporters, Ms. Brindha Devi said that as announced by the Election Commission of India (ECI), distribution of forms under SIR started on November 4 and it will continue until December 4. Instructions were given to officials concerned to follow the ECI guidelines while distributing the forms. In Salem district, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) appointed to the polling booths are distributing these forms to the voters.

She added that the BLOs have been instructed to gather information on voters who shifted permanently and dead voters and to take appropriate steps. Instructions were given to inform the voters about the last date of submitting forms and to ensure receiving the forms from all voters.

Likewise, in a release, Namakkal District Collector Durgamoorthi said that there are 14.66 lakh voters in the district, including 2.35 lakh voters in the Rasipuram assembly constituency, 2.49 lakh in Senthamangalam, 2.64 lakh in Namakkal, 2.22 lakh in Paramathi Velur, 2.32 lakh in Tiruchengode and 2.61 lakh voters in the Kumarapalayam assembly constituency. To distribute the enumeration forms, 1,629 BLOs were appointed and as of Tuesday (November 11, 2025), these forms were distributed to 85.78% of voters in the district, Ms. Durgamoorthi added.
