District Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad has instructed officials to coordinate with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) authorities and ensure foolproof arrangements for the upcoming CII Partnership Summit, scheduled for November 14 and 15, at the Andhra University Engineering College Grounds.
The Collector directed officials to complete the delegate registration process through the online portal by November 9, clarifying that spot registration would not be permitted.
At a review meeting held at the Collectorate on Tuesday with Commissioner of Police, Shankhabrata Bagchi, Joint Collector K. Mayur Ashok, and officials from various departments, the Collector enquired about the progress of the works completed so far.
Mr. Harendhira Prasad said that Chief Minister, Governor, and Vice President are expected to attend the event, and asked the police personnel to take all necessary security measures.
Liaison officers were instructed to remain alert and ensure smooth coordination regarding the arrival of guests and conduct of events. He has also asked the officials to ensure proper arrangements for the gala dinner and to plan cultural programs that reflect diverse traditions.
Speaking about the security arrangements, Mr Bagchi said that the police have been making elaborate security arrangements since a number of delegates from various countries and India will be attending the summit. He sought cooperation from all departments and the CII representatives to implement these security measures effectively.
“CCTV cameras are being installed at all areas, while drone surveillance will be taken up. Officials and CII representatives should be stationed at entry and exit gates. Every individual must carry a photo ID card,”, he said.
Mr Bagchi also said that QR codes would be included on all VIP and vehicle passes. Measures will be taken to prevent congestion or inconvenience at dining areas. He also emphasised on setting up real-time monitoring dashboard room connected to all CCTV cameras throughout the event.
