Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday distributed pensions under the NTR Bharosa scheme at Peddannavaripalle village of Talupula mandal in Sri Sathya Sai district.

The Chief Minister walked through the narrow lanes of the village to personally hand over pensions to the beneficiaries under various categories.

Interacting with the beneficiaries on the occasion, Mr. Naidu said that the gesture reflected the NDA government’s commitment to “transparent and compassionate governance.”

The Chief Minister first called on Meda Mallayya, an 80-year-old artisan, and handed him over the ‘Kalaakar Pension’. On coming to know that Mr. Mallayya’s wife was suffering from paralysis, Mr. Naidu said that immediate medical assistance would be arranged.

Later, he visited the residence of Meda Reddamma, a widow, who sought a house site and financial aid for housing. The Chief Minister assured that her request would be duly considered.

Mr. Naidu later interacted with Meda Maheshwari, a ‘Bangaru Kutumbam’ beneficiary under the P4 scheme. She sought employment opportunity and educational support for her three children. Ms. Maheshwari also sought medical help for her ailing mother.

D. Chaitanya, a farm worker, urged the Chief Minister to allot him a house and sought educational support for his children.

Later, addressing the villagers, Mr. Naidu said the NTR Bharosa scheme symbolised the government’s resolve to “restore dignity to the elderly, widows, and vulnerable families,” who had been neglected during the previous YSRCP regime.

Mr. Naidu accused the YSRCP government of “manipulating welfare schemes for political gain,” and vowed to rebuild trust through direct, corruption-free welfare delivery.

On his arrival at the helipad at the village, the Chief Minister was accorded a warm welcome by Ministers A. Satya Prasad (Revenue) and S. Savitha (BC Welfare); Hindupur MP B.K. Parthasarathi; District Collector A. Syam Prasad; and Superintendent of Police S. Satish Kumar.

Legislators Kandikunta Venkata Prasad (Kadiri), Paritala Sunitha (Raptadu), and Palle Sindhura Reddy (Puttaparthi), former Minister Palle Raghunath Reddy, BJP vice-president Vishnuvardhan Reddy, and Minority Corporation Chairperson Parveen Bhanu were among others present.
