Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly R. Ashok on Saturday demanded that the Congress high command clarify to the people who really is the Chief Minister of Karnataka.
“Because of the fight between the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister for the top post, the government has come to a standstill. If Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge do not make a decision, the government will not function. The administrative machinery is in a coma,” he said.
“One gang is working to save Mr. Siddaramaiah, while another is working to remove him. Meanwhile, criminal acts have increased. Farmers are taking to the streets in protest. The political situation has deteriorated. Here, it is unclear who is the Chief Minister,” he said, adding that “Rahul Gandhi’s weak leadership” was evident and the high command was unable to keep the MLAs under control.
