Senior Ministers and TPCC president claimed that Congress candidate Naveen Yadav would register a thumping victory by a margin of 30,000 to 50,000 votes in the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election.

Addressing a meeting at the Congress Party office in Yousufguda, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud said that the BRS was living in an illusion created by “fake surveys” reminding that people had already rejected the BRS after ten years of its misrule.

Mr. Mahesh Goud alleged that the BJP and BRS were colluding and spreading malicious propaganda against the Congress candidate out of fear of defeat. “Voting for the BRS or the BJP is like voting for NOTA,” he said.

Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy said “not even a single ration card was issued during the BRS regime” while the Congress government immediately began distributing them after coming to power.

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka described Naveen Yadav as a dedicated social worker and the Congress has given a ticket to a representative from a weaker section. Taking a dig at former Minister Harish Rao, Mr. Bhatti said, “Harish Rao is talking like a man who has lost his senses.”

Excise Minister Jupally Krishna Rao questioned the BRS’s moral right to seek votes in the bypoll. “Their MLA held the seat for three terms, but there was no development in Jubilee Hills. The BRS has no right to ask for votes here,” he said.

Government Advisor Mohammed Shabbir Ali alleged that fake videos were being circulated to mislead voters. “A vote for the car symbol is a vote for the lotus,” he warned. Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar and Sports Minister Srihari Mudiraj also spoke.
