Congress has approached the Chief Electoral Commissioner, alleging that BRS MLAs T. Harish Rao and Padi Kaushik Reddy have violated the model code of conduct and are trying to influence voters despite the silence period.

P. Rajesh Kumar, Chairman and Lingam Yadav, Member of the TPCC Election Coordination Committee, said that Mr. Harish Rao arranged a press meet outside the CEC office and made comments on contesting political parties and made political criticism. This was to influence the voters and disrupt the level playing field. They said Mr Kaushik Reddy, in a road show held at Yousufguda, carried a cutout depicting Chief Minister Revanth Reddy as ‘Narakasura’ denigrating a constitutional office and promoting hatred. This was a derogatory term aimed at humiliating and inciting negative emotions among voters. The Congress leaders demanded the disqualification of Mr. Kaushik Reddy under RPA, 1951, if violations proven.
