All India Congress Committee (AICC) observer Ravindra Das announced that the party high command would soon appoint a new president for the Vizianagaram District Congress Committee (DCC), after a thorough assessment of all aspects including the candidate’s track record, support from local leaders and activists and community equations.

Mr. Ravindra Das (Tamil Nadu) held a review meeting with present DCC president Marpi Vidyasagar, Gajapathinagaram Congress incharge Ch. Durga Prasad and other leaders at Gajapathinagaram in Vizianagaram district on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ravindra Das (Tamil Nadu ) said that the party would continue to have a bright future since people were fed up with TDP, Jana Sena Party, BJP, YSRCP and others in the State. Earlier, Mr.Durga Prasad urged him to consider his name for the DCC Post since it had not been given so far to the Viswa Brahmin community, one of the backward castes of AP. The party leaders Saragada Ramesh Kumar, Sunkari Sathish Kumar and others were present. EOM

During the meeting Mr. Durga Prasad urged the AICC observer to consider his name for the DCC post, noting that the post has so far not been given to the Viswa Brahmin community, categorised among the Backward Castes in Andhra Pradesh.

Leaders Saragada Ramesh Kumar, Sunkari Sathish Kumar and others attended the meeting.
