The Karimnagar three-town police on Thursday claimed to have unravelled a conspiracy behind the recent incident of gutting of a garment shop near Sri Rajarajeshwara Kalyana Mandapam in the town with the arrest of the shop owner and two workers.
According to the police, the shop owner, identified as Sangam Rajesh, in connivance with two workers allegedly set ablaze his shop after shifting the valuable dress materials on November 17 in a bid to fraudulently claim insurance money. The shop owner reportedly suffered losses in his business.
He allegedly hatched a conspiracy to claim the insurance amount and executed the plot to clear his debts.
