The Constitution has granted rights and responsibilities to every citizen of the country, said Minister for Human Resource Development (HRD) Nara Lokesh on Tuesday (November 25, 2025). “Everyone talks about the rights but nobody talks about responsibilities, which are equally important,” he noted.

The Minister congratulated Kurmala Sri Kanakaputtulamma, a Class 8 student from Municipal High School in BR Nagar, Mangalagiri, who has been selected to participate in the Student Mock Assembly, scheduled to be held on Wednesday (November 26).

He invited the student and her family members to his residence in Undavalli and interacted with them. Ms. Kanakaputtulamma’s selection was based on her impressive performance in essay writing, debate and quiz competitions conducted in the school as part of the selection process for Student Mock Assembly.

Mr. Lokesh underscored the need to nurture the aspirations of students as they are the future of the country. “Our effort is to integrate moral values in the education system which would help students imbibe them at a very young age,” he said.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Assembly Speaker Ch. Ayyannapatrudu would be among others who would be present on the occasion.
