Construction worker dies in wall collapse in Ramanathapuram

A construction worker died in a wall collapse at Vanasankari Amman Koil Street here on Friday.

The workers were demolishing a wall of a house, when the wall collapsed and fell on the two workers. Both were seriously injured and were buried under the debris.

The public informed the Fire and Rescue Service Department and they rushed to the spot and rescued the workers from the debris.

While both were rushed to the Ramanathapuram Government Medical College Hospital for treatment, Kumar succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

Ramanathapuram Bazaar police have registered a case.
