CRPF head constable found dead near Krishna canal

The body of a 36-year-old Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) head constable was found near the Krishna canal on Wednesday.

The deceased, identified as Sabarinathan from Krishnagiri, was serving at the CRPF Training Academy in Avadi. On Tuesday, his wife had come to meet him but found him missing. She later lodged a complaint at the Avadi Tank Factory Police Station.

Based on the complaint, police launched a search and found his body near the river on Wednesday. It was sent to the Government Kilpauk Medical College Hospital for postmortem. The cause of death is yet to be ascertained.
