Senior officers of the Cyberabad police on Friday (December 5, 2025) visited the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport to review the situation following disruptions caused by IndiGo flight cancellations.
DCP Shamshabad B. Rajesh, Additional DCP K. Purnachander Rao, ACP Shamshabad V. Srikanth Goud and RGIA Outpost Inspector Sampathi Kanakaiah met IndiGo’s regional management during the visit. The airline’s Regional Manager briefed them on the reasons behind the ongoing cancellations and said the matter was being addressed on priority. He added that operational teams were working to restore normal services at the earliest.
The officers inspected the check-in counters, departure area, boarding gates and bus gates to assess passenger movement and staff deployment. They instructed the Station House Officer to ensure arrangements for passenger convenience, particularly during peak hours, until the situation stabilises.
