The last date for applying for insurance cover for the rabi season rice fallow crop in Tiruvarur district has been announced.
According to an official release, the last date for application for insurance cover for rice fallow groundnuts will be January 31, 2026, for black gram and green gram it will be February 17, 2026, for sesame March 17, 2026, and for cotton March 31, 2026.
The insurance cover can be availed by applying either through primary agriculture cooperative credit societies or through the nationalised bank branches where farmers avail crop loans. Non-crop loan farmers can apply for crop insurance cover through e-service centres or directly through the www.pmfby.gov.in website.
