Decathlon, a French multi-sport brand, has revamped its existing store at Whitefield in Bengaluru and converted the space into a flagship multi-sport infrastructure that offers shopping as well as coaching for various sports, and infrastructure for community sports, all under one roof.

Designed as a community sports hub, this 60,000 sqft store can host coaching sessions for children and adults across basketball, football, skating, pickleball, and gymnastics, along with workshops, a kids’ zone, a yoga and dance studio, weekly cycling and running meetups, sports birthday parties, and workshops across various sports.

Sankar Chatterjee, CEO, Decathlon India, told reporters, “Sports has evolved significantly in India over the last 10 years, and we have witnessed this transformation closely.’’

Quoting a KPMG report, he said, pay-and-play facilities (turfs) offerings were growing strongly in the country.

Gilles Gaudemard, Retail Leader, Decathlon India, said, “India’s sports retail sector is evolving rapidly, driven by a new generation of users who expect accessibility, expertise, and immersive in-store experiences.’’
