Delhi blast draws messages of condemnation

Messages of condemnation poured in from across the world after Monday’s (November 11, 2025) deadly blast near the Red Fort in New Delhi left at least 13 dead and dozens injured. The Foreign Minister of Israel Gideon Sa’ar, the Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim, the Ambassadors of several countries, and the Taliban administration of Afghanistan are among those who have condemned the blast.

“I extend my and Israel’s deepest condolences to the people of India and especially to the families of the innocent victims killed in the blast at the heart of Delhi. Wishing speedy recovery to the wounded. Israel stands with India in its fight against terror,” Mr. Sa’ar said.

“If confirmed to be an act of terror, it deserves the strongest condemnation. There can be no justification for violence that targets innocent lives and sows fear among ordinary people,” the Malaysian Prime Minister said, paying tribute to the first responders and investigators who are “working to determine the cause of the blast and to bring those responsible to justice”.

The Singapore High Commissioner Simon Wonghas expressed his country’s strong condemnation, describing the blast as an “act of terror”.

In her message, Nepali Prime Minister Sushila Karki conveyed her “deepest condolences” over the incident. “Nepal stands in solidarity with India in this hour of grief,” she said.

The Spokesperson of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lin Jian conveyed “deepest sympathies”. “Our hearts go out to those affected by the fatal explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort metro station. Our deepest sympathies to those who lost loved ones and we wish those who were injured speedy recovery,” the Spokesperson said.

The Bangladesh High Commissioner M. Riaz Hamidullahcondoled death of the blast victims. “Our thoughts and prayers remain with all those impacted, including their families. Bangladesh stands by India at this distressful hour,” Mr. Hamidullahsaid.

The Russian Ambassador Denis Alipov condemned the blast. “Shocked by the explosion at the Red Fort. Confident that the ongoing thorough investigation will determine the cause of the incident. We express condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the injured,” Mr. Alipov said.

The Japanese Ambassador to India Ono Keiichi condemned the blast and offered his “deepest condolences” to the bereaved families.

The Taliban administration of Afghanistan, which is in the process of upgrading diplomatic ties with India, has also conveyed condemnation of the incident. “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs [MoFA] of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan condemns the explosion that occurred in the Red Fort area of New Delhi, India, claiming the lives of several civilians and leaving several others injured. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan – MoFA expresses its deep sorrow to the bereaved families, as well as to the government and people of India, and wishes a swift recovery to those wounded,” the Taliban administration of Afghanistan said.

Deposed Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, has also condemned the blast, the biggest blast to have hit the Indian capital in more than a decade-and-a-half.
