A delivery boy and his accomplice were arrested for allegedly stealing Apple smartwatches, AirPods and mobile chargers from a warehouse and replacing them with fake ones, a Delhi Police officer said on Tuesday.
On November 15, Sunny Kushwah, a resident of Uttam Nagar, reported to the police that a few products were stolen from the Flipkart warehouse at his residence. An FIR was registered under Section 305 (theft) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and the delivery boy, identified as Umesh, 22, was nabbed near his residence at Prem Nagar in Nangloi on November 17.
During the interrogation, Mr. Umesh revealed the identity of his accomplice, Sunny, 23, who was arrested from Khirki Extension, Malviya Nagar. Three Apple smartwatches, three AirPods, and three chargers were recovered from their possession.
The officer said Mr. Umesh came in contact with Ankit and Sunny Kumar, both residents of Bihar, who lured him to steal Apple products and replace them with fake ones.
