Even as Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has identified scores of properties belonging to Neomax Properties and its sister organisations in connection with cheating of hundreds of depositors, some of the depositors were again cheated on the promise of registering land in the name of the depositors.
A statement from Madurai Economic Offences Wing said that even as the case was under investigation, the directors of the company and its agents were preventing the depositors from lodging complaints with the EOW.
They have jointly started new companies, namely, Supreme Energy Federation and Small Investment Group Management Association (SIGMA).
Through these companies they had lured the affected depositors of Neomax Properties with the promise of registering land in their names.
They had also cheated the depositors by getting the original bonds issued by Neomax Properties against deposits received and had also collected money directly and through bank account of premium villa plot.
Affected people have been asked to appear in person at the office of EOW, Madurai, with their documents to lodge fresh complaints.
The EOW office is located at 4/425 A, Sankarapandian Nagar, Park Town, Thapal Thanthi Nagar Extension, Madurai, statement said.
