Deputy Chief Minister Udayanidhi Stalin on Saturday distributed welfare assistance worth ₹119.70 crore to 9,230 beneficiaries in Villupuram district.
The disbursements, included welfare assistance under the aegis of the Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihood Mission worth ₹6.74 crore to 2,724 beneficiaries, assistance of ₹78.51 crore under the Department of Rural Development to 1,920 beneficiaries, assistance of ₹10.31 crore under the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management among others.
The Deputy Chief Minister also distributed retrofitted petrol scooters to 40 differently-abled persons.
Earlier, Mr. Udayanidhi Stalin paid tributes to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of India’s Constitution on his death anniversary.
