‘Vande Mataram’ anniversary

Chettinadu Public School (CPS), Karaikudi, commemorated the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram, India’s national song, which translates to ‘Mother, I Bow to Thee’, under chairman S. P. Kumaresan and the supervision of Stephen, NCC Officer of CPS. Composed by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, ‘Vande Mataram’ was first published in the literary journal Bangadarshan on November 7 1875. Mr. Kumaresan stated that the song is a significant symbol of Indian culture and heritage, a powerful expression of patriotism, devotion, and Indians’ strong emotional bond with their homeland. Principal Usha Kumari, vice-principal Premachithra and teachers participated.

Drone, car design event

The Department of Aeronautical Engineering, Kalasalingam University, organised COPTOTHON 2025, a Drone Design and Build Challenge conducted as part of VINTRA 2025. A total of 164 students, forming 47 teams, participated. The Department of Mechanical Engineering organised BOT-O-CAR 2025, an RC car. A total of 105 participants in 28 teams worked on the RC car design. Vice president S. Shasi Anand distributed cash prizes to first three winners.

In the QS Asia University Rankings -2026, KARE has been ranked 408th in Asia and 102nd in South Asia. Vice president said this marks a significant testament to the commitment of the University to excellence in teaching, research, and innovation. Chancellor K. Sridharan congratulated.

Environment Club of GTN Arts College, Dindigul, organised a palm seed plantation drive at the Mullipaddi Panchayat, near Dindigul. Around 700 palm seeds were planted.

College secretary K. Rethinam and director R. Durai presided. Tamilselvan welcomed. Professor P. Ravichandran emphasised the urgent need to replace plastic usage with eco-friendly alternatives. A total of 49 student volunteers participated.

A culture and knowledge exchange program was jointly organised by Relevantz Technology Services and Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology for the first-year Computer Science students. Tino Mantella, Chief Strategic Officer, RelevantZ, USA, provided valuable insights into the current U.S. IT market, emerging global trends, and the skills expected from modern technology professionals. The college secretary R. Mahesh Kumar and the principal S.Senthil thanked Relevantz team.
