MoU signed

Srivilliputtur, Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE) University, Department of R&D, organised an MoU with MIT Square Group of Companies, UK.

Vice-President S. Shasi Anand felicitated. Vice-Chancellor S. Narayanan, Registrar V. Vasudevan, and Bhuvaneswari Loganathan, Co-Founder and COO, MIT, UK, signed the MoU.

Co-Founder and CFO Sathiyanarayanan Kesavaraj highlighted MIT’s successful research and entrepreneurship models. Director of R&D M. Pallikonda Rajasekaran welcomed. Head, TBI, J. Deny, detailed the MoU and the activities.

‘Centre of Excellence -RAiSE ‘ was also launched by Vice-Chancellor and Registrar, which will promote the interdisciplinary research and innovation, accelerate technology transfer and commercialisation, strengthen entrepreneurship development and enhance industry–academia partnerships.

Project Coordinator M. Murali proposed a vote of thanks.

The Tamil Nadu Government’s ‘Tamil Kanavu’ programme was held at PSR Engineering College, Sivakasi, on the guidance of Collector N.O. Sugaputhra. It was organised by Tamil Nadu ‘Tamil Culture and Cultural Propaganda’, in collaboration with the Tamil Online Education Department and Higher Education Department. Motivational speaker Parveen Sultana spoke on the topic ‘Udhavathu Ini Oru Thamatham’, The event aimed to reach out to 2,000 colleges and 2 lakh students across Tamil Nadu.

Over 2,500 students from Virudhunagar district participated, which included exhibition halls on higher education, employability, bank loan, and business opportunities. Copies of a higher education and career guidance book and a Tamil Pride Memorandum book were given.

NCC Day was celebrated by the 14th T.N. Battalion NCC in association with GTN Arts College, Dindigul. HoD P. Ravichandran was the chief guest who flagged off the NCC Day cycle rally. He highlighted the responsibilities of NCC cadets and their role in nation-building. And also, he urged the cadets to plant more trees. Lt. Col. M. Pandeeswaran welcomed.

The cycle rally started from Saint Mary’s School and concluded at GTN Arts College. Cadets took a pledge – ‘Save Environment and Save Earth’.

Subedar Major Arumugam and Capt. M. Pandeeswaran, Lt. B. Arun, felicitated. Nearly 200 cadets from the Junior and Senior Divisions of PSNA College, NPR College, Saint Mary’s, and MSP School participated.

Kalloori Saalai’ 25 a Guidance Programme was organised for the school students at Nadar Saraswathi College of Arts and Science, Theni.

The programme aimed at creating awareness among higher secondary students of college selection, higher education opportunities and career choices. Around 700 students and 40 teachers from various schools participated.

Principal NSCAS S. Chitra emphasised the importance of education, particularly for women, quoting the well-known saying: “If a woman is educated, a family is educated.”

Secretary K. C. C. Maranmani encouraged the students to cultivate knowledge with determination and to draw inspiration from the life of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

He motivated them to trust their teachers and parents for proper guidance and reminded them that hard work is the ultimate path to success.

Professors from various departments of NSCAS conducted insightful sessions on choosing the right course and college. Their key points highlighted the maxim ‘Muyarchi thiruvinaiyakkum’. It was insisted that with continuous hard work and determination, students can overcome challenges and achieve their dreams.

Theni Melapettai Hindu Nadargal Uravinmurai Nadar Saraswathi Girls Matric Higher Secondary School celebrated its 67th Annual Day celebration along with the felicitation ceremony for passed-out batch students. Secretary C. Kaliraj presided. The presidential address was delivered by President A. S. G. Dharmarajan.

District Chief Educational Officer, Theni, N. Nagarajan, says, “The achievements of today’s students will decide the future of our country and so very student should have a deep desire and a determined mindset to achieve their goals”. He suggested that winning a gold medal is not the only victory but winning hearts through good character is the greatest achievement.
