Andhra Pradesh Handicrafts Development Corporation Chairman Pasupuleti Hariprasad met Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal and submitted a representation at the TTD administrative building, on Sunday.Â
Mr. Hariprasad explained to the TTD EO in detail the proposals for expanding Lepakshi handicrafts, modernising Lepakshi showrooms in the Tirupati-Tirumala region, and creating additional employment opportunities for local artisans. He said that the expansion of Lepakshi would provide significant encouragement to thousands of handicraft artisans across the State.
Mr. Hariprasad said that with millions of devotees visiting TTD every year, Lepakshi had the potential to serve as a major platform to showcase Andhra Pradesh’s traditional handicrafts and hence, the expansion of showrooms in the Tirumala-Tirupati area. The meeting also discussed handicrafts development, introduction of new products, expansion of sales outlets and mutual cooperation between the institutions.
